I would think pointing to Walt's "mixed feedback" transformer drivers in the audio amplifiers section (6.69-6.77) of his Op Amp Applications book would be more interesting, the feedback derived negative output impedance of the driver causes cancelation of the the real component of the transformer drive current which gives huge distortion reduction at low frequencies - allowing much cheaper transformers to compete

think whatever you like,I would rather build and use.A fully balanced driver with a balanced trafos output kicks a*s as a line driver.
