Vinnie I really wish you can mod the 6 Gen so we can use the same Alo cables designed for the 5.5 gen. I mean I spent more than U$400 on those cables (Supper Cotton Dock and RCA to Mini Dock) so it would probably make me think twice if I have to purchase new cables again. What are the chances this could happen?? it seems the dock connector is exactly the same...

Hi unclejr,

No, definitely not awful. For those who only care about a stock iPod, the iPod Classic is the one to get!

So now an interesting question that remains for me is how the line out of the classic compares to the older gen stuff. Not the iMod necessarily but the stock line outs.

From what I am hearing with the stock 6G, it will have no trouble competing with (or even topping) the other stock units' line-outs. Just my opinion.
