So what is the current working status of Windows 7 and Via Envy24 specifically the Onkyo SE-200? After reading the horrendous experience ppl got with their Chaintech AV-710 here and on via forum with SE-200 and Envy24chip in general, I'm kinda hesitating considering it as one of my buying option.

Currently Onkyo serves version 5.40f on their website and the latest 5.50a was found by Leepery. So I wanna know ppl experience with these drivers on Windows 7, not some hackish way of installing older version of drivers over the new one.

I am running Win7 x64 and have an SE-90. Using the drivers from the Onkyo site (5.40f). Works fine. No hackish install.

Problems with it:
-No support for 176.4 kHz which the hardware apparently supports
-No 'auto' switching of frequencies.

EDIT: Aside from the above minor issues, its been working perfectly for me. I like the card a lot, the SE-200 should be great too.
