I just got a cool little Wheatfield HA-1 tube amp from pabbi1 but I can't listen to it. I blame it on Westone for not including a 1/4" plug with the UM2's. I didn't bring home my full size cans and the plug for my AKG's is a screw on kind so it won't work with the UM2's.

Westone, do you know how hard it is to have a new toy and not be able to try it out?

LOL. you should have go for the Shure e5c. You pay for more for Shure e5c, and everything is included.

If I had realized my screw on adapter from my K271's wouldn't work on the Westones, I would have just brought the AKG's home. I'll go by RS tomorrow but I want to listen tonight!

Sheesh... I've got a total of nine (9) 1/8"-1/4" stereo adapters from various headphones over the years, most of them gold plated

. Every head-fier should have a couple spares around, and also at least one 1/4"-1/8" for unusual situations.

Hey, I've only been around here since November. I was originally just looking for something to suggest to my wife for my birthday. I thought it might be nice to have a decent pair of headphones to use when I work from home.

I think maybe I have a problem.

What's up with that? I was shocked when I opened the case and realized that the W5000s don't come with a converter...this isn't a problem because I have a converter but for $800 I would think they could include one.

The main reason the Universal Series does not include a 1/4" plug is because they were originally designed for onstage musicians, who normally plug into a wireless belt pack. Also, almost all personal listening devices also use the standard 1/8" plug. These will be included with the next release.

I have a bunch of adaptors, y splitters, 1/4>1/8, 1/8>1/4, airplane converters... Everyone should carry some around. I just want a small 1/8 or 1/4 to RCA now.

Ther you have it. How often does a company actually listen to your suggestions? I like dealing with people like that.
