How often do they go this low or lower i wonder? I just bought an mp3 player and the studiophonic/ety things, so I probably won't order these. Still, they are tempting.

I bought mine from newegg two years ago at $158. I don't think they have them instock very often, but when they do they go for a pretty good price.

Huh? According to the page I get, it's $149.88 at Amazon, with free shipping. Did it just change in price or something?

Anyway, ~$150 seems to be the going street price these days... Newegg price is not that uncommon.

Amazon got me my Sonys in about two business days even with the "super saver" shipping which they say takes 4-14 days.

I'd take Amazon. They don't charge sales tax for me and they've got the awesome return policy. Thanks to Amazon I was able to audition the Sennheiser PX200 (couldn't get a proper seal with my ears), Koss PortaPro (damn headband always snagged my hair), and the Sennheiser HD555 (ok sound). I was able to return them all no questions asked within 30 days with a full refund minus shipping costs.

I ordered the HD580 on amazon Tuesday and it was out for delivery today (thursday). I did not get it because of an apartment number missing at UPS but otherwise ... it was very fast shipping ! And 148$ Free shipping.

Hopefully will get it tomorrow, as well as my PA2V2 and enjoy the combination.

i've ordered from amazon plenty. from california, i get free shipping on $25 or more, and no tax. shipping is usually pretty fast, when the item is actually in-stock. they have a lot of bad reviews, but in my experience they are great (only when the item is directly from amazon). since amazon also does middle man selling, you might get bad service or even scammed... but not from amazon itself.

the HD580s are from J&R. i've ordered from them a few times (their store is in new york) and they ship out pretty fast. no tax for most of us, and free shipping. good place to shop.
