Hi,

This is a bit of an odd question but someon might know.

A friend of mine knows I'm into headphones so asked me for ideas on this little problem.

His grand mother is very deaf and uses hearing aids. But all she wants to do is watch TV in stereo with cordless headphones. But he cant find any loud enough.

She has tried Sennheiser, Vivanco and Sony and they dont go loud enough.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Has the old lady consulted an ear specialist? I´m not shure if the problem would be solved by just increasing the volume. If the hearing loss concerns only certain frequencies the sound perception and speech intelligibility can be affected even if the volume is loud enough and increasing it further won´t help. (My grandmother had this problem.)

Nope.

The headphones are a reciever (for the signals coming out from their base station) and intergrated amplifier, as well as 'phones, so without taking them apart you are stuck with their maximum volume.
