Got them in the mail the other day. In a word they are awesome! I love how balanced they sound, I won't pretend I know what highs and lows are but they are perfect for my 320kpbs mp3 and ALAC files. The bass isn't overpowering of the other details and I can hear instruments I never could before.

I only hope I don't get run over wearing them.. Might stick to my ksc-75's when walking around.

I think soon you'll find wearing the SE420's worth the risk of getting run over.

they give you all these details but you need to pay attention to your surroundings more.

Yes they do sound great, and at least I'd still be able to listen to them in a hospital..
