I see this , there is apparently two version of the thing, so anyone knows of the difference? like why it have 100 dollar difference or more
and should I buy this unit ? or should I just skip into the venturecraft godapx?

The differences between two version are battery capacity and opAmp.
 
I recommended you to get Go-Dap X for compatible issue. With unit 4.0, you will be struck with iphone 4(s).
