Greetings everybody, I'm new to this so please bear with me.

I see that if you go with the normal setup, I need a big pocket to carry everithing....

I have an iPhone 4s that i would like to get better sound out of.
Do any of you have any experience with the VAMP or Unit 4.0?

How would this combo be when you compare with iBasso DX100?

Unit 4.0 is having lower power of 60W x 2 and VAMP is 130W x 2.

In my experience VAMP is more European / US music style, where Unit 4.0 is more on lean type sound for Japanese local favorite sound.

If you already own an iPhone 4S I seriously recommend you to use VAMP as it is perfect match, it is also an iPhone backup battery.

From what I understand, the Vamp is very similar to the fully upgraded Go-Dap. The opamp is the OPA1622 which is very clean and punchy. IOS6 changed some of the charging features of the iPhone which, in turn, effected the vamp. In some cases, it continues to charge the phone regardless of what mode it's in. Mine does this. I'll be sending it back to vmoda this week (shipping paid by them both directions) and, after a firmware update, should be right as rain.

It's not a cheap unit, but the sound and synergy are both top notch. Highly recommended!
