What a wonderful space you have all created here! I am new to this board and learning a lot! I want to upgrade my current amp but have no idea how much to ask for it or what to list it for here or on Ebay.

It is a pre-2003 Headroom Airhead in a grey case. This is the model that takes 3 AAA batteries.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

2nd post same subject: I just upgraded from the 3xaaa airhead to a desktop
micro amp. If you want to see a leap in quality, try this upgrade.

I suppose I should archive the airhead and bithead models as well in my Headroom Module Archive. Anyway, AFAICT, the 3 x AAA airhead is the model that came directly before the one currently in production. There was an even earlier model that ran on 2 x AA I think, and there might even have been something that used a single 9V (or am I just going crazy?).

Anyway, your Airhead is out of date, but it's not that old. My best recommendation to you is to keep it, as it still functions excellently as a very small portable amp with decent battery life. You can't really guarantee what you might get for it - on a good day, you might get $75, on a bad one much less.

I am with TheSloth on this one. Definitely keep the Airhead. It will be nice to compare with your potential upgrade and it is still nice sounding portable amp. Love to hear your impression on your next upgrade amp compare to the Airhead.
