Hello I'm looing to change the stock tubes on my Valhalla 2 that I use with the HD650s. It seems like when I turn it all the way up the base sounds little distorted.

I use a Bifrost DAC as well.

I mostly listen to trance and would like my bass and highs to sound cleaner. Just not sure what type of tubes if any I should get

1. Do you use high-gain or low-gain setting?
2. The power (rear) tubes are Russian design 6N6P - not much choice for change: NEVZ (Novosibirsk), Foton.
3. The driver (front) tubes: 6922 / 7308 or 12AT7/ 12AU7 with 12Axx --> ECC88 adapters.
4. Some choices / recommendations: Genalex/Gold Lion 6922, Sylvania 'white' 6922, Amperex PQ 6922, Amperex PQ 7308, Sylvania 12AT7, Brimar CV455 (a 12AT7-type tube), Genalex/Gold Lion 12AU7.

I only use low gain because the HD650s sound like crap with it on high. It gets distorted at higher volumes
So for rear tubes only thing I can change is brand?
