Interesting. My jaw will drop if the next version is a "death-match" with the board connected to very high voltage transformer. Well, you get the idea.

they are specially made cold cathode gas tubes and don't get hot.
Argon for the blue, neon for the red.

Ever see the cathode light tubes in a computer? Its plug and play and they dont get hot.
