Will try to make it up for this meet if the calendar stays open. Missed the Dec 5 event which looked like a great meet and greet with some highly desirable gear....

The HD 650 Raffle sounds like the perfect morsel to whet my 580 upgrade hunger.

It would be great if a DT880 600 ohm find there way to this meet. I really would love to hear those.

hey guys - on an unrelated note, when cruising the Audiogon website I found the DC Area "Audio Society"... they're having a meet on January 30 with Zu Audio presenting their very well-received Essence loudspeakers in case anyone is interested. Here's the relevant link.

I guess I could bring my starving student setup: the Grado Sr225 with a Little Dot I+.
Hopefully by March I will also have the ATH AD700 too

Well, as of this morning no HD800 for me, but will bring along a Stax SR-404LE rig (and/or an old Lambda normal bias) and *cross your fingers* an Audeze LCD-2

I was getting trigger happy, but didn't know where to aim between hd650/k701/dt880/sa5k (surely someone could help me out). This will be my first head-fi meet as well. I don't have much in the way of equipment, but I suppose I will bring my rig, if I may go so far as to call it a 'rig': zero dac, my starving student, er-4p.

So count me in.

Well I hope to make the meet and will have a K702 with me (pretty much the same can as the K701).

Will have my Gamma2 with M^3/sigma11 amp. Will also bring my Gamma1 with mini3 amp and Grado SR225.

I know that I will bring HD800, HD650, my MDR-CD3000 and B-22 ballanced.

Also if we get enough attention there will be raffle on used HD650. Tickets $5 a piece. So if you lucky enough you could go home with HD650.

I look forward to hearing that beta22. I have a secret desire to build one, however don't tell the wife

she thinks my M^3 was the last amp I would build.

Excited to hear some of this gear. I've saved the date on my calendar; hopefully nothing will come along to knock it off.

Anybody have any Markl-modded Denons or other closed cans to bring along?

I will bring by some Denons. That is going to be my next purchase. Still debating D2000 vs. D5000...

Just received my Denon D5000's. I ordered the J$ pads, and I have the dynamat. I am still burning them in, so I am undecided if I will do the full Markl mod or not.

I will be sure to bring them to the meet.

First post ever on head-fi! Woohoo!

Anyway, I'll plan on being there. Like many on this thread, I'm fresh and new to most of this. Just upgraded my Superfi 4vi to Triplefi 10s. Running mainly an iPod 4G, an iPod 5G, and an iPhone 3G as my portable sources (plus a few computers at home, but with no DACs). Still educating myself on portable amps, and possible DIYMods for the 4G or 5G iPods.

So, by the time this meet happens, I may have a DIYMod 4G iPod and custom molds for my TF10s. Looking at picking up the Fiio E1 as a cheap start on the amp side before getting a nicer portable rig down the road.
