I'm pretty sure I'll be there.  Hoping someone can bring an eddie current amp since I've never heard one.  Not sure what I'll bring. Maybe my AGD NFB-10ES (unless I decide to sell it first) with lcd-2.2 and grado 325 magnums.

I am hoping to be there with my SACD player, HD 800, and my new Eddie Current S-7.

Wow, 007 + 009 + BH SE at the meet? so tempting!!!. I'm actually on vacation in the US. I really wanna go but I have to find someone to bring me there and since I'm in travel mode, I only have a pair of Shure SE530 and a Rocoo DAP + popo iem combo with me now.

Btw, anyone from Charlottesville going to attend this meet?

I will be attending this meet.
Very curious to hear the paradox and other T50RP variants and compare them with my T50RP.
I may also bring in a vintage Sony STR-7065 receiver, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth the trouble.

Can't wait to hear the Stax 009, too!

Hello all. I'm new to the head-fi game. I'm currently only using a pair of SHURE SRH-940s and some MDR-V700s along with my Xonar STX. I'm thinking of heading up that way just to hear some of the head-fi potential and where I can go from here.

My question...what is the protocol at an event like this. I would love to hear a summary of what goes on at an event like this and how things typically work (or please point me to a thread where it's explained). I don't want to show up and look like a fool because I'm doing something wrong or not following protocol.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the links. That answered many, but not all of my questions. I have a tendancy to over-think things.

The link above is very informative, if you have very specific question just ask. The meeting is FREE,  since its a public library we cannot take any donations even if we wanted.

Oh man, that would be excellent, if the option exists!  I have a HifiMAN cable with a 4-pin XLR termination and can use the cable with the HE-400s, the HE-500s as well as the BMF 8.1 version of the Fostex T50RPs.

That's an interesting question.  I'm sure there are people who live a bit further out.  I think Charlottesville is about 75 miles away from the meet.  Worst case, if you had someone who could get you half way and someone could meet you to get you to the event.  I live west of Washington, DC - but, still about 50+ miles from Charlottesville.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I'll bring my "portable" equipment: iPod + HP-P1 and my DX100 (complete with some 192/24 and 96/24 stuff loaded) along with my Ultrasone Ed. 8s and TP1-modded T50RP, if there's any interest.

I'll plan on making the trip.  I can bring some of my CANS - by that time I'll have 3 of the much talked about Fostex T50RP Mods.  The Paradox, the Mad Dogs, and the BMF v 8.1s. I can also bring the LCD-2 and the HE-6.  I would like to bring the B22 but it's in Cincinnati, And I don't know how I'll get it there.

Justn:  Will you have a prototype of the new GS-X ready?

i dont think it will be ready yet.  i'm waiting on heatsinks for the new module boards.  cant really power it up until i have them.
