I just got a pair of sony MDR-V6's last weekend (the've probably been burned in for about 40-50 hours already and they sound great). Anyway, I read in an earlier thread that the Beyerdynamic DT-250 earpads fit the V6's, and this sounds like something I'd like to pursue if they're more comfortable and isolate better. The problem is, I took off the V6 pads and noticed that the foam that covers the drivers is integrated into the pads. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to detach the foam from the V6 and use it with the beyer pads?

They're glued on. Just peel 'em off and stick 'em under the Beyer pads.

Im getting ready to switch my pads as well. As far as I can remember, its just steady hands and a slow peel. Thats about it.

yeah, the guys on this just said to peel the foam right off and place it under the new pads as you secure them on

Just wondering, has anyone tried using Beyer's DT 250 driver covers instead of ripping off the V6 ones?
