V6 Vs. 7506 price

If they are the same headphones, how come the 7506 cost way more? You can find the V6 for about $75, and the 7506 are more around $110.

While we are at it, anyone noticed how similar the V500DJ and the 7505 look? Again, a big price difference. I wonder how similar the sound is...? The V500DJ are different than the other Vx00 series: they have very little bass.

The 7506 costs more because it is marketed as a professional headphone, thus it "should" cost more in the average consumers' eyes. It's a simple matter of branding and being able to get a little extra money for nothing, that's all.

DesBen, the MDR-7505 looks like the MDR-V500DJ, but uses different drivers. I think the drivers used in the MDR-7505 are very similar to those of the (old) MDR-CD570. The MDR-7505 actually sounds better than either the MDR-V500DJ or the MDR-V600, IMO (but not quite as good as the MDR-V6 or MDR-7506).
