V6 Red Stickers on Cans!

LOL:It is good to Know that that solvent worked, Yes i have done lots of similar dumb things at times as we all have, If it was not for the fact that i had done lots of dumb things with Plastic and Solvents i would have tried that on the V6 headband as well. I am one of those people that have the same mindset as tvhead, and grab some supper potent stuff to get rid of unwanted labels on stuff and i have found out the hard way that some times the Item you want to remove the unwanted lettering from also gose away with the Lettering. Do i still do these Dumb things! You Bet all the Time. I just make a mental note of the results for future reference.

I left my stickers on. I guess its because I'm partial to shiny objects. That and because I laugh whenever I see them. My mind does something like this

"heh, they say for digital but they are really analog. That's funny. Oooohhhh, shiny!"

Anyway, the sticker are going to stay for a bit longer.

I'm leaving the stickers on for a little longer, because I have nothing to get rid of the remaining glue after. But I think they would look better/more professional without the stupid stickers. After all, you don't see all those flashy things on studio equipment.. And Mark Levinson gear doesn't have "for Digital" or "Super Mega-BASS" on the front.

Makes me think of those so called "Sport" mini-van. Yeah, like anyone is gonna use a Dodge Caravan (Sport, mind you) in a european rally or a NASCAR race...

One of the big secrets of sticker removal (in my experience) is not immediately throwing away the sticker after it's removed.

Take the sticker and use it to remove any adhesive it left behind when removed. This also worked with my V6's (my 7506's still have the stickers on).

When I pulled the stickers off my V6s there was no left over glue..If there was, I just used my finger to rub it off.. Anyways, if you don't have the sticker to help remove the left over adhesive, you can use some gaffer's or masking tape. I just lay it right on top of the clumps of adhesive, pluck, and repeat until it is all gone.

Yeah, I just pulled them off of mine earlier this afternoon. Quick, and left no glue residue.
