When I tap/lightly slap my xcanv3, it makes a little bit of a fizzle noise. Is this normal? Try it.
v3 problem?

typical for a microphonic tube. Try to change the tubes...

Why? Are they broken, or just crappy?

It could be:
- Loose tube; open up the amp and reseat it. Sometimes you have to tighten the sockets.
- Microphonic tube, areboth channels buzzing or just one. If only one and the reseating/retightening does not work then reverse the tubes. If the buzzing changes channels you have a bad tube. If the buzzing does not change channels check the input RCA's sometimes the track inside cracks.
