[Shoomee]

I'd like to start of with saying this is my first post on the Head-Fi forums! 
 
I ordered my first pair of good quality headphones on June 20th and got them on the 24th. As the title suggests they are the V-moda XS.
 
Despite one minor problem I'm loving them! They sound amazing. But, on certain songs. Typically Eminem. I notice a faint but noticeable static on louder vocals. I know some of Eminem's songs are meant to have static but I don't think this is intended. I also noticed it on a few of 2pacs songs.
 
What do you guys think is the problem? Is it the headphone jack on my phone, the cable or the headphones? I really don't want to make a return unless I know the problem as real.

It could also be the recording. If the rest of your music doesn't exhibit the same problem, it could be that the song was either poorly recorded or that you downloaded a poorly ripped version.

Edit: I notice it more on my phone then my laptop.

All of my music is from Itunes. Besides albums that you cannot get there. It seems to be a problem with Eminem's album The Eminem Show.
