I picked up a pair of V-Moda XS's on amazon used for about $130. I wanted something portable and durable over my grado SR60s.
I was impressed with their small size, but severely disappointed in their sound. Once I got home I compared them to my grados and confirmed they sound weak, like cappy ihome headphones. The grados have cleaners highs, mids, and deep bass. The V-Modas sound bloaty and thin. I drove these on my phone (LG G4 with viper4android) and out of my computer. They honestly sound comparable to unamped headphones missing power.
