i have a v moda m80 and usually leave it in my car. one day i take it out and the cord/jack seemed to be stuck in the headphone. so i try to yank it out as hard as i can, and the metal jack stayed inside port while the rest of the cord came loose. i pulled on the metal jack that was stuck, and it refuses to come out.

 

https://imgur.com/a/Wbtju  i also have no clue how to open up the v moda case to see its inside. it probably wont be covered by warranty, so im deciding between trying to fix this diy, sending it in and seeing the cost, or buying a v moda xs or m50x

You need to pull off earpads in order to be able to unscrew the housing.
