Just recently I have been looking for a pair of full sized headphones to fit my needs.  Specifically I looked into the sub $100 range and was fortunate enough to listen to both the Koss DJ100's and Shure SRH440.  However, I wasn't too blown away by either set; so now I have expanded my price range to $160 at  MOST.

I've heard mixed reviews about both headphones saying that the V-Moda's are better or the Audio Tecnhica's are better.  But nonetheless the reviews seem to be biased and more based on personal preference.

My taste in music ranges from hip-hop/rap, techno, pop, rock, classic rock, and occasionally jazz.  Bass is something that is always a plus in a headphone only IF it does not overwhelm the mids and highs.  However, comfort is also a pretty important factor for me.

Any recommendations between either headphones, or any in the same price range would be much appreciated.
