I am a newcomer to headphone amplification although I have been using AKG 240s since they first came out in the mid-70s. I now have AKG K701s with about 330 hours burn in.
To get started I purchased a Total Bithead and then a HeadFive. At home I am using the TBH as a DAC source for HeadFive. I realize this is less than ideal but I would like to hear from more experienced users how useful they think this combination is. How much and what kind of improvement will I notice if (when?) I get a Corda Aria?
Any thoughts about where I should set the volume on the TBH for this set up? I have it now about 2/3 volume.
