Hello, I was wondering how would I go about connecting a pair of Sony MDR-Z1R headphones to a Oppo UDP-205 via the dual 3-pin XLR Balanced Stereo Out? If that's not possible, is there anyway to connect the MDR-Z1R headphones via a balanced connection? Thanks!

I would buy a very good single ended (1/4-inch plug) cable for it. I use a Sony-Kimber SE cable through my SPL Phonitor XE amp and really love the sound (Chord DAC).
For the record, I have an Oppo 105D that I used to primarily use with DVDs also thought the sound was very good. I never used it as a DAC though. I think the Oppo was mainly made for physical discs.

Thanks for the reply! I was hoping to listen to SACD's and CD's via the balanced XLR output. So you don't think there's anyway to utilize the balanced output of the UDP-205 for headphones?
