Hi. a question: is it ok to use the mediun gain on the ultra micro with the grados rs-1 headphones?.. or should i use the low gain because of they're low impedance?
thx!

Hi Plonter,

Well, the bottom line is whatever gain setting sounds best to your ears! -- But Grado headphones are all highly efficient at 32 ohms impedance, so medium or even low gain would likely be just dandy for those RS1 of yours.

thx again!

Absolutely no worries damaging the headphones just by using the amp's 'high-gain' setting; The headphones will just get VERY loud in a hurry!

Agreed. My 325is almost (depending on the recording/source, of course) never have to be set above "low" gain.
