main powerbook g4 --- echo mona 24 ---- srm-t1w ----stax lambda signature.

considering update , where to go?

some people consider this echo mona 24 to be really good~ I love it , but ever since i got my stax setup , the idea of getting something better just keep growing!

of course , pc hifi only , if i can not use my pc as source i wont post it it here anyway.

thanks a lot !

The Mona sure is a great card, and you probably won't gain that much improvement with an up/sidegrade. The newer Echo AudioFires are excellent sound cards, their AKM DACs perform very impressively. Disclaimer: I've been an Echo fanboy for over 10 years, since the 1st generation Gina.

And if an AudioFire is too cheap for an upgrade, the $1000 RME Fireface 400 uses the same AKM CODECs inside.
