This evening I wanted to watch a movie on my Windows XP laptop and I plugged my iBasso D1 into a USB port on the laptop and switched the D1 on, but when I played the movie (using VLC Media Player) the sound came out of the laptop speakers. In the past I've used the D1 with this laptop and it wasn't totally straightforward getting the sound to come through the D1, although I managed it, but this evening even rebooting the laptop with the D1 switched on didn't solve the problem, the sound would only come out of the laptop speakers. I tried playing a song (Real Player) and it came out of the speakers. I couldn't find a setting in the Control Panel that said 'Make the sound go out through the USB'. Is there anyone who knows what the issue is here and what I have to do to use my iBasso with this laptop, or is this just another example of what I call 'the wonder of Windows'?

Thank you for any suggestions.

Edit: I'm sorry to waste everyone's time. I solved the problem by trying a different USB lead.
