Using a balanced headphone cable for the AK240, anyway to convert it to non balanced without changing cables?

I'm using a 2.5mm balanced cable on my Shure SE846s for use with my AK240. Only issue is, sometimes I also like to listen to things off of my phone (eg internet radio etc) and don't want to have to keep swapping cables out. Is there any sort of adapter that would work so I could use it with a normal non balanced 3.5mm headphone port? I tried this adapter, but the sound only comes out of one channel. Any advice?

Im just guessing here but, maybe try a TRS connection instead of the TRRS that your link shows. TRRS is usually for balanced and TRS is for SE.
