Well, the NAD 521i costs 300 brand new. I have never heard it however.

If you can find a used c541i, it should almost definitely
be for under $350, considering they can be had for $375
new (at the lowest of the low end).

Of course, if you do find one, tell me and let me have it
instead.

I second the NAD players. First time I hooked up the older NAD 522 to my speaker system I was totally blown away by the amount of detail I have heard comparing to my old low end Technics and JVC players. Some say the sound is a bit harsh or digital sounding but the other benefits outweigh it for me. I'm very happy with my NAD 521 now and I don't think you can do any better for the price. If you can swing $400 I would seriously consider the Music Hall MMF25. This player is totally in another league. The Cambridge 500se at least to me sounded a bit in between.

Want a Cambridge Audio D500SE with a great op amp mod for about $320?? I have one with a whole bunch of op amps so that you can change them around to your hearts desire. kind of like rolling a tube amp, so you can tailor your listening pleasure.

Check out my original for sale thread with links and photos so you can see all that it comes with.
