I have a NuForce HDP connected via USB and it drops connection with my pc. I have to disconnect the cable and reconnect it for it to reestablish connectivity.
This only happens when I am switching rapidly or playing certain games. Never with musi players.
I did some research and it is due to micro stutter with Windows. There was a fix for it but sometimes the stutter still remains and causes loss of synch. And my option with the HDP is to re synch with removing and plugging in the USB cable.
I suppose I'll need to start using the motherboard sound card with optical out. Is there another solution or is there an appreciable decrease in sound quality?
