[size=12.0pt]I am looking for an usb to toslink device that will send 5.1 usb cinema audio from a laptop computer to an av receiver via optical toslink.[/size]
[size=12.0pt]My goal is to able to send Dolby digital 5.1 AC3 @ 640 Kbps, and 5.1 DTS @1.5Mbs and 640kpbs. I am particularly interested in using DTS 5.1 at 1.5 Mbs.[/size]
[size=12.0pt]I have searched and read about various devices and the following seems to be one of the best: Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB Audio System with THX SB1095.[/size]
[size=12.0pt]If anyone can personally recommend a similar or better device please list the item in this thread.[/size]
