I'm looking for a decent USB to AC adapter for my Sony A729 and G1 phone.
Got one from eBay a few days ago but it died after a few minutes of use.
Where can I get one that can last a little longer ?

You might try getting a free one. Find a larger hotel near you. Walk in and tell the person at the front desk you stayed there a few days ago and left your charger in the room and see if they have it in their lost and found. They will typically bring out a box and let you pick your charger out of it.

It works great with my Nokia N800, N95, Sansa Clip, iBasso D10, iRiver H140, Fiiio E5, iPhone, and many other devices that suit 5V charging.

Being able to chage 5 devices simultaneously is a big space saver too.
