I'm currently using a M2tech hiface (original). I just pulled the trigger on a hiface two, but i'm having second thoughts after reading up on the Musical Fidelity V-Link 192.
Are they comparable? If all things are equal, the hiface is a better choice for me as I already have a DIY cable in place to use a switched 5v power supply instead of the USB power and the hiface takes up less room in my equipment stand. Obviously, these are secondary concerns... if the Vlink is a better unit, I can make a new cable and make room.
I use primarily FLAC and ALAC files. I have a small collection of 24/96, 24/176, 24/192 albums. If either can do DSD over PCM (DoP), thats a bonus (though, i'm not sure my integra processor will accept DSD on the SPDIF, possibly only HDMI).
Thoughts?
