Hey all,

I have a question regarding using a DAC with android.

I just bought a Nuforce UDAC3 which I'm really digging for the price. I'd really love to get it working with my phone (Sony Xperia X) which I believe supports USB audio.

As I understand it, the UDAC won't work with a phone due to it's power requirements. Is there any reason I can't buy/bodge a Micro USB - Micro USB + Full size USB cable and power the DAC using a power bank in parallel?

Came across this some time ago but never pursued its details.

Not sure if this might work but its probably what you're specifically looking for as its supposedly made to supply auxiliary power to the OTG cable connection.

So for the record, this doesn't work. The DAC powers up but isn't recognised by the phone. Ah well!
