I'm thinking of using 2 9v rechargeable li-poly.
I see, planning on making it a portable affair?

Solder fumes are good for you!" class="bbcode_smiley" height="" src="http://files.head-fi.org/images/smilies//biggrin.gif" title="" width="" />
I'm personally of the opinion that batteries should only be used for portable applications as any well designed power supply will do just as well" width="" />" class="bbcode_smiley" height="" src="http://files.head-fi.org/images/smilies//smily_headphones1.gif" title="" class="bbcode_smiley" height="" src="http://files.head-fi.org/images/smilies//smily_headphones1.gif" title="" width="" />" width="" />
You should make sure that the ADuM is compatible with the HiFace, as the ADuM only supports up to usb2.0 full-speed, not hi-speed. I believe I have read reports of people having issues with the HiFace connected via ADuM.
List of USB Devices having problems with the USB2ISO
1. Hiface USB 2.0 - Sound card SPDIF 24bit 192KHz (Reason - must have 480Mbit HighSpeed USB)
Based on: Analog Devices Adum4160/Adum3160 and High Grade Class 3 Isolated Power Supply.
Thanks. That device is not the same as the ADuM4160 USB Isolator. They're saying that their product has a problem with Hiface.
USB2ISO is also based on the ADuM4160 USB isolator, so there's a very strong chance that if that product has a problem with the Hiface then the Circuits@home isolator will have the same issue. Of course, you're welcome to test it empirically; if you do, please let us know your experience" class="bbcode_smiley" height="" src="http://files.head-fi.org/images/smilies//smily_headphones1.gif" title="" width="" />
