The the other day I've received an Analog Devices newsletter which showcased their new USB isolator chip, the ADUM4160 and to my surprise this chip has been discussed quite intermittently here. I'm going to make this quick: is there any advantage of using this chip if my USB DAC does not pick up any ground loop or noise whatsoever? Isolating hum seems to be the main function of this chip no?
Thanks in advance.
