Hey guys,
Just a newbie here stopping by asking for suggestions. I'm currently running a Focusrite 6 USB which powers my Yamaha HS80M's. Unfortuantely the Saffire 6 doesn't work well with OSX Lion and often crashes Logic and in turn loses volume forcing me to reboot the computer and often losing work.
I'm going to see if Amazon will take back the Focusrite and see if I can get another external sound card.
What are my best options in the price range ($150-200)?
My setup is:
Yamaha HS80M's
Various Headphones
Macbook Pro (Running OSX Lion & Snow Leopard, depending on the laptop).
Thanks guys for any help
*Edit*
Was linked to the rules by a moderator I assume, and I did a search (search terms for the site are a little finicky; I couldn't get them to work properly the first time around). Ended up going with the Focusrite Scarlett. The Saffire 6 USB is great except for the fact that it doesn't work well with the USB 3.0 Macbook Pros, often losing connection and causing Logic to crash. I've read the Scarlett series uses USB2.0 plugs that don't act wonky with the USB 3.0 ports on the new Macbooks.
Thanks!
