For those who have multiple digital audio sources, which output their data via USB --- Do you use some sort of USB Data Switch / Mux, to connect between your sources and DAC(s)?
.
Is it a commercial product, or something that you assembled?
.
Do you know whether GND is isolated or common, between sources?
.
If I stick with the standard 4-Pin USB 2.0-A connection (Vcc, D-, D+, GND), or 5-Pin USB 2.0-Micro (Vcc, D-, D+, ID, GND), would I only need to switch the D- and D+ signal wires from one source to the other, for each DAC?
.
Thanks for any insight into finding, or building, a USB Data Switch / Mux!

As a follow-on - I've noticed some "USB Sharing Switches" on Amazon, but only a couple of them appear to have a power input (Micro-USB), that would allow them to operate as a (low powered) Charging Hub, as well.

So, I guess my request needs to be modified, to ask whether you've bought or built anything like the "Plugable 7-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Charging Hub with 60W Power Adapter with BC 1.2 Charging" (available from Amazon - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RM5OF70/ ) - but with at least 2 PC uplink connections, so that the Digital Audio devices can be switched / shared?

Thanks,
