Hello!
I'm currently running into problems with my DACs/Interfaces because they either have no microphone input at all or one that is designed for phantom-powered studio gear. I have an old Zalman microphone which needs a simple mini stereo input with something like 2-5V, i.e. a normal computer sound card.
I have an unused onboard ALC898 sound card. Could I simply use it for the microphone input and run it parallel to the existing audio outputs on my USB DACs/Interfaces without any issues?
Cheers!
