Is Stereo output enough for you? Do you need a microphone input? If don't need the latter, the Fiio K1 is great value.

I'm just looking for a DAC/Headphone amp, so the Fiio K1 was on my shortlist. I have a Fiio X5 Classic (1st Gen) coming soon. It's a new old stock unit from an official UK supplier. Has anyone compared the K1 against a X5 in DAC only mode?

If I may suggest anything from ESI, Lexicon or Presonous would be very valid options in terms of budget & what you're looking for.
