USB driven headphones seem to be the next big thing with phone manufacturers dropping 3.5mm headphone jacks. I have the Sony MDR 1ADAC which uses a USB cable (along with the traditional analog cable), but the drawbacks are USB cables tend to be stiff and there can be a lot of microphonic (headphone cord) noise, and the other issue is the DAC cuts out when static builds up on the USB cable (like rubbing against clothing).

Are there any manufacturers or DIY folks who make a quiet, anti static USB cable for headphones? I've made my own custom cables in the past, how hard would it be to make something like this?
