i bought a pair of senn hd25-1 ii's w/ orig cable on them and an hd650 cable along w/ them. the 650 cable stays connected to the cans better than the orig (so the orig may be damaged i guess). but the 650 sounds better anyway. I want to get an equinox cable for them as an improvement because I love these headphones. the used equinox available are "officially" made for the hd580 and hd600's. I was assuming that they should connect decently since the regular 650 cable does.
then i read that someone here had a problem using either a 580/600 or a 650 equinox them w/ the hd 25-1's and had to buy the steffan audio arts "official" hd25-1 ii cables for a good connection. so I'm very confused. has anyone had any experiences that might shed some light on what i could expect if I go down the equinox 580/600 route? it will cost me twice as much to get the official hd25 w/spade connectors from steffan a.a. and I cant afford it...
