Hi everyone, thought I should introduce myself. I have been lurking these forums for about a month now and made some great purchases in headphones through your expertise. But I just needed to vent a little bit about UPS Mail Innovations. It is pissing me off so much that it has actually made me finally sign up as a member here.

Last week I ordered the Panasonic HJE900 off of Amazon when they were $89. It was being shipped by UPS Mail Innovations. Basically UPS receives the package and delivers it to your local USPS so they can deliver it to your home. After a week of waiting, it arrived in my town (which was last Saturday in MA). I live on a college campus so the USPS delivers it to your dorm office, but I did not hear from them at all. No one knew where it was when I asked. Today I decided to check out the tracking website again and it turns out the last few days it has been traveling to NJ and is now in NY.

I am sure I will eventually get it but this is ridiculous. Why would it arrive in my town then get shipped back out to different states? Other people have had this problem apparently when I did a quick Google search. So moral of my rant, please never use UPS Mail Innovations it is absolute crap. But at least I am finally a member.

It probably had to go to the correct distribution hub for you. That can look completely illogical, but it makes sense when you're dealing with huge amounts of packages.

I know waits are frustrating, but I don't slam a carrier over a delay of a few days. Someone has to lose or damage a package before I get upset. Maybe people are more impatient today.

True true, but for the consumer the regular way of shipping is so much faster and better. But with this type of shipping it feels like it's all about them and not their customers.

+1 This sounds mucho better than these inane postal service threads.

About two and a half weeks from KA to NY. And that cost $9.81 for a wall wart power adapter.  And yes, UE's stories do sound much better.

I had the same experience back in November.  Ordered something from Amazon, & they used ups innovations.  They took it to the wrong post office in my area, so it got shipped back to Nevada I believe (I'm in MO), then it was shipped back to my p.o. and I picked it up there because I have a po box. The box was a horrible mess when I got it-very beat up looking. I complained to Amazon, but they don't care-never heard back from them. I told them never ship anything to me that way again. It took 10-12 days to get it.  Always in the past when they used USPS & I got my order within a week.  Unfortunately I think Amazon is going to use ups innov. whether we like it or not. I ordered a presciption yesterday and they informed me today it will be sent ups inovat. I have a feeling when we place orders now we are not going to have a choice of how it is sent. If my script takes a trip around the country to get here, the place I ordered from is going to get an earful. USPS has not been a problem in the past with this company, so why are they switching to ups inovations-it sucks.
