I originally came to these forums for advice for my first real headphones. I got the Denon D1001s and I was very very satisfied. The sound quality is unlike anything I've experienced before. (I'm coming from a non-audiophile background.)

I'm a student and my daily routine consists of taking a train/bus/metro.

I find even though the Denon's are "closed back", it doesn't do a good job isolating sound from the outside, which makes things awkward cause I have to crank up the volume while on the train/metro, which is horrible for my ears.

A few months ago, I started to only use my Denon's at home exclusively while I bought a pair of Monster Lil Jamz. These isolated outside sounds well with "conform" tips but I find the sound quality is lacking.

Does anybody have suggestions for a pair of headphones that can isolate sound but yet has fantastic sound quality?

I listen to all sorts of music. (Including Classical)

I'm going to try to keep my budget at around $200.

GO! And thanks.
