I'm considering upgrading from my Westone W30 IEMs. I'm considering going balanced. I am happy with the overall sound, bass and tuning of the W30s. I am looking for more detail and finesse, like what I hear in my HE500s at home. Note that by "detail" I do not mean more analytical, I mean the ability to hear deeper into a recording. More articulation and nuance, from top to bottom, is what I'm looking for.

I'm not looking to get into JHA Layla territory, a pair, universal or custom, near the $1000 mark would be great.
