What would be most effective /cost efficient DAC to upgrade from Entech Number Cruncher 205.2 ?

I'm looking for something below the Lavry DA10 / Stello DA100 / Benchmark DAC-1 grade/price range....They are nice, but I have budget restraint....so

that's as expensive as Stello DA100....

goes way over my budget....

I was thinking of something at $200~250 range...

Wish I could help. The only thing I'd have any confidence in based on experience is the DAC-AH.

If you get the Zhaolu you can always mod it later with a ZapFilter output stage. The new version [2.5?] is even cheaper than the 2.0 I think... and with the CS dac it sounds decent stock. The new output stage [ZapFilter] makes a huge difference though.
