I've just purchased (almost 30 days ago) a pair of DT-990 (250 ohm) headphones as well as a Monoprice LiquidSpark AMP + LiquidSpark DAC. (My previous headphones were DT-770 (80 ohm)).
I really love these new headphones but I do find the treble spike noticeable in very specific parts of certain songs. Most of the time it doesn't bother me at all and I enjoy the bright treble. I'm also a big fan of the open-back headphone compared to my previous closed-back ones.
Anyways, because I'm still in the return period I'm debating whether or not to upgrade to the DT-1990s.
These headphones seem to have excellent reviews and many reviews mention the treble spike at 8 kHz isn't as bad as the DT-990 but still has a spike.
What are the general opinions on these two headphones?
The usage is 40% gaming, 40% music, and 20% movies/tv. They are used 100% connected to my PC.
