I own the ATH M50 and V Moda M80s which I really enjoy, but after around a year I'm looking into an upgrade. I've really been eyeing the DT770 80 ohm with an amp. Other suggeations are cool too,something semi-portable and circumaural would be my preference, but I wouldn't hesitate to give a competitive on-ear a chance. I'm guessing DT770 would be more of a side-grade but I'm still interested in them. I only really listen to electronic and rock music.

You should enjoy the DT770 Pro 80-Ohm more, over the ATH-M50s.
