I've had a pair of ATH A500s for a few years and I figure it's time for an upgrade (a small one, if anything). I mainly listen to EDM so I was looking at some potential candidates that didn't require an amp. Although, I wouldn't mind getting one if needed. Here's what I dug up:
- Ultrasone PRO 650
- Ultrasone PRO 750? (a little pricey for me)
- Ultrasone HFI 780
- ATH-M50
But yeah, I've been hearing good things about Ultrasone in that genre of music so I've been looking at them mostly. What I really want to know is if I'll feel the difference between one of these new headphones and my A500s. If I'm missing any other good choices in this price range, please let me know! I really appreciate it!
