I would like to know your opinion on upgrades that you think indispensable in this amp and those that can be obviated, thank you

Had my stock Woo 6se since December and in my opinion NO UPGRADES ARE INDESPENSABLE assuming you have a good enough source.
It sounds bloody good as it is.

Upgrades to your source or the Woo?
The Marantz is a decent player for its price but it will hold the Woo back because the Woo is in a different class. Once you have the Woo any changes to your source will be apparent.
You could always buy an external DAC,assuming your Marantz has a digital output, when funds allow. I would concentrate on improving the source before worrying about the Woo.

Whats your upgrade budget?

I'm thinking of buying the amplifier, after I improve my source, my budget is 2000 $ to buy the amp, but I will not buy unnecessary upgrades.I only I could hear the Wa6 PDPs with Sophie, I have not heard the wa6se.
